So cute Shelf Kitty from Ike’s World

I got this cute as can be Shelf Kat from Ike’s blog.  So I am making this card to enter in her challenge #4.DSCN8627_edited-1

These bold colors are from the color challenge on Splitcoaststampers to use Baked Brown Sugar, Mellon Mambo, and Wild Wasabi. It should be easy enough to see where I used the colors.

I followed the sketch from Mojo Monday 317.

Still experimenting with Kristy’s Copics, but I think the Kritter isn’t too bad for a beginner. I was thinking of various sentiments for this image and decided the Kitty was just hanging out waiting for something to come along, probably so she could use that hanging paw to bat at it.  So, I put ink to this rubber, a stamp I haven’t used yet, but have some of the others in this set. It wouldn’t fit right in a circle so I went with the oval. I’m even thinking this would be a cute young person’s birthday card, a party/birthday celebration that is worth the wait…

  1. Excellent – I love the colour combo on your card and that’s a great layout. Super colouring on my Kitty. 🙂 Thank you for coming over to play along with us at IKEsWORLD Challenges 😀

  2. This is SOOO cute JoyceAnn! Your color combo is so nifty and original and I love both the sentiment and the way it is printed out. It is great for the image. It is really nice that you chose to use Ike’s image as well. Your copic coloring is wonderful! It is impossible to see that you are a beginner…there is no difference between yours and a seasoned copic colorer! Thanks for coming over to IKE’s WORLD Challenge JoyceAnn and see you again. Soulfully Yours, Samara DT IWC
