Thankful for Fall

I used this Wednesday’s sketch from Splitcoast stampers to make my card for the Perfect Sentiments Challenge – a Fall card and Mema’s Crafts – Fall colors.

The Stampin Up stamp, from the Wandering Words set, was stamped in Versamark and embossed with gold powder.  Not showing up as well as I would have liked on the Baked Brown Sugar card, which is backed with Old Olive and Chocolate Chip.  The off white piece was lightly  stamped with Certain Celery with leaf stamps from the Autumn Fest set, then embossed with the honeycomb folder.  I was going for something earthy, in retrospect I think the lines folder would have looked just as good, maybe better.  The card base is Close to Cocoa.  The banners are from the scraps bin, the ribbon by Offray, brad by Recollections.  Not frilly, so would be good to send to anyone, especially a man.

  1. I love your card and your colors are perfect. Your take on the sketch is great and don’t worry about the embossing. The lines may have worked but I like what you selected better. Thank you for stopping by and playing with us at Mema’s Crafts. Come again soon.
