The Challenge – Trashy Tuesday

Day two at Smudgy Antics brings a challenge to create a project from trash.  Something obviously recycled.

Hopefully you can tell it’s a Christmas ornament.  The baker’s twine is long enough to hand from where ever, like the overhead lamp in the dining room, I’m thinking.

What did I recycle? Well, first it was a CD, then a bunch of pop tops I’ve collected for years.

My main focus is this Steampunk reindeer from Smeared Ink.  There are two other stamps, one from Stampin’ Up! the other from Inkadinkado.  After cutting 2 circles from silver card stock ( SU),  each was run through an embossing folder – TH & SU.

The ornament dangle on the left was created by stamping 4 images and punching out. I folded each in half and pasted them together so it is 3D.  The fabulous reindeer was printed twice, once flipped, colored with Copics, cut out and pasted together.  The greeting was stamped twice on SU gray cs.  The flourish on the back was a die cut.  The pop tops are attached with glue dots.

And of course I gave my reindeer a red nose!

I’m also entering this in the the following challenge.
