Cracked Glass ATC

Tonight I revisited a technique I discovered more than 7  or so years ago, a project just for fun.  Normally one would make more than one ATC at a time, but I wasn’t sure if I remembered it correctly.  It turned our as it should have.

I wanted a vintage, aged look so I chose the pretty flower from the “Jardin Paris” set.  It’s watercolored with pencils.  The sentiment (“Celebrate Tomorrow”) was just right for inspiring and addressing the tone of where I want to go with more ATC’s in the future.  The little bird is stamped on book print, a little watercolor added and pasted down.  I did some distressing with Ranger’s Vintage Photo and a stamp from “Beauty Wings”.  After the piece was properly cracked I rubbed the distress ink pad directly onto the ATC.  It must have been a bit much as some ink leaked in between the cracks so I used the heat tool underneath to dry it out before calling it done.  DSCN3588

Here is a shot of it before I put it into the freezer.  There are 4 layers of UTEE on the card.  It’s like magic.  First the melting of the embossing enamel each time, then the “cracking” once I took it out of the freezer.

This was a fun break today, to play with my crafty toys.  If you have any questions about the project or my daughter’s website, feel free to ask me.  I love to get comments, and love to share crafty times.

If you want any of these Fun Stampers Journey images or other product, please email my daughter at kldeyette@yahoo.com, she doesn’t pay for the site any longer but does order our supplies all the time.
