Sweet Baby Girl

This layout was fun to put together. Always great when I have a lovely sketch to start with, too.

Check out this sketch today at Sketches in Thyme blog!

I played with watercolor paint, added a stamped image with some heat embossing, and die cut the title with Cricut Explore Air. I also used some metal bits for the stamped words, punched hearts and a die cut filmstrip.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a marvelous time filled with some happy moments you want to scrapbook about!

My Birthday Lunch

This was the perfect sketch to finally scrap my birthday luncheon with my daughter this past year. It is a Sketch – N – Scrap sketch (#179).

When I went looking for papers to use I thought about the red and black theme because of the restaurant. As soon as I spotted this floral by Carta Bella I wanted it. It is part of a recent order of florals I made through A Cherry On Top.com. This is the first one I’ve used from that batch. Do you ever do this, buy pretties then hoard them? Anyway, I kept the rest of the pieces solid since the floral is so busy.

Color quality seems a bit off and I tried to fix it, didn’t word too well. The bottom two pics my dear daughter slid in there as I was returning from the sushi bar. I used them because it shows the inside of Sakura well.

I don’t know if your birthday is coming up soon, or just passed, but whenever it is I wish it to be a very happy one!

My 4 Sweet Girls

Following a sketch from Sketch N Scrap blog I had a good time putting this page together. When ever I look for photos for a sketch challenge I try to match the size and orientation whenever possible. These two are from a set of pics taken at a restaurant so I’m sure I will make a companion page with some of the others. These worked together as they are my precious girls, between the two pics they are all accounted for.

I took some liberty with the added elements but kept the main sketch. Some of these elements I used are pulled from odds and ends, like the glitter strip. I cut the strip from a scrap I had recently used and still had out, where I was intending on using a ribbon.

The flourishes are stamped and heat embossed. I enjoyed making this page. Of course, gazing on these happy faces is always a delight. The added fun came as I scouted around for the additional goodies to add on.

Thanks for stopping by. I wish you lots of loving memories with your family and friends.
