This layout of my darling at the age of 2 1/2 is for the sketch challenge at Sketches in Thyme blog. When we had a JC Penney photo shoot, I ordered a few extra pictures. Gladly this 10″ x 8″ was left over and just too sweet to use for this sketch.
The large photo fills much of the page. The sheet of paper, the floral and the stripe, was just enough pattern and blends well with the colors from the photo. The floral side is torn while the striped side was cut into small borders. This little princess of ours is totally a Glitter Girl! Various dies for the hears and Cricut for the title were used. Once the journaling was typed and printed, I was done. That’s one of the advantages of starting with a sketch; having a large photo and pretty elements also helps. I chose this title because her smile is so infectious. She can draw a crowd when she smiles. I was thinking how an umbrella keeps one out of the rain, well, her smile keeps any sadness away, too.
Not much else to say about this layout. I hope you find a spark of inspiration and head on over to the Sketches in Thyme for more ideas.
Thanks for stopping by! May you enjoy beautiful and loving memory making days. 2 Samuel 23:4 “He is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth.“
