A Beautiful Mermaid Card

I am quite pleased with how this card turned out.  (Except the sentiment isn’t level – it’s hard to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig with cling blocks.)

The background paper is from a sheet of Gelli Plate prints.  The idea for the glitter comes from my recent class at Sparkle N Sprinkle.  The image is matted with SU’s Certainly Celery, SU pearls of various sizes, and the sentiment is stamped in SU’s Taken with Teal ink.  The stamp set is Sparkle N Sprinkle, stamped in London Fog Memento and colored with Copics, as are the shells.

My coloring and glittering still need lots of practice, but I had fun putting this card together.

  1. Your card is beautiful. Love that gelli print background and the added glitter in her hair is a perfect addition. SO glad you shared her with us for the Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge. And congrats on being a SNS Featured Artist (plus you name will go in a drawing for a fun prize package this month).

  2. Hi, Joyce! Gorgeous card – wonderful textures, and an amazing use of color! How fun to shade using the glitter in her hair! Beautiful card. Thank you for joining us at Sparkle N Sprinkle this month! I hope you will submit more of your pretty cards to the challenge in the future! hugs, de
