Following the rules of a challenge to use up some stash I followed the general idea of a Let’s Scrap sketch. (right side only) For the challenge we are to use 3 patterned papers – these are old papers from Basicgrey, Colorbok, Creative Imaginations sponges with Lucky Limeade SU Ink. 2 different washi tapes – near the bottom right. Rub-ons – I used some Stampin’ Up! Rub-ons from ages ago in two places, 1 is the Sweetest Thing title and the You Make Me Smile bottom right. Die cut – The butterfly upper right is a SU die. 3 bling – I have 3 rhinestones on the butterfly. I added a TH plastic film strip to the top, stapled down. I stamped a border of hexagons. The big word “Smile” and the flowers are Stampin’ Up! colored with SU markers. The bit of cotton lace trim, buttons, and journaling strips are all stash as well. I have also entered this page in the Anything Goes challenge at Created With Love Blog at the invite by Linda Kupstas.
Leia is “turning one” in these layout pics. Now, she has just turned two and we so enjoyed her for the last few days. It’s impossible to believe she is only two when you hang out with here. Her conversations and thought patterns are that of a much older child. Her pediatrician had recently told Kara she was on the level of a 4 year old. I am so looking toward the next time I get to see her again, although I don’t know when that will be.
This is a favorite candid shot I snapped unawares of her. She is a wiz with a Tablet or iPad, I tell you! She is really getting to recognize her letters as she plays with Elmo. She doesn’t trace them out too well yet, but she can pick out some of them. She has an interest in dancing, singing, and anything musical. We took her to Friday Fest in Historic Downtown Melbourne and she reveled in the Latin DJ’s music and danced and danced to her heart’s content. I apologize for the poor photo quality but I had no tripod, which would have been nice since it was quite dark, but this camera did the best it could. She was so happy, and stepped and twirled and sometimes fell down. Nothing stopped her from having a delightful time.
Hope you enjoy this little view of my “Sweetest” Great Grand at age one and at two!
