Cards from Splitcoast Challenges

Here is a card I made today for the sketch challenge at SplitcoastStampers.  It was perfect for using one of my new stamps from StampFest.j-5300K

The woman, a stamp from Lost Coast Designs, was colored with SU watercolor pencils.  Using a scrap of pp from Scenic Route I cut a circle with my Fiskars circle template and circle cutter.  Then I wrapped strands of SU calypso coral organza ribbon around a scrap of DCWV paper and tied a couple of bows before attaching.  The sentiment stamp is a set called Occasions Alphabet from Stampin’ Up!.  It is stamped in the calypso ink and matted with calypso card stock.  Edges are sponged with Ranger Vintage Photo ink.  The circle is a punched out metal from a piece that Kris had left over from embossing and distressing, which she got at the StampFest also.

Here is a Christmas card from yesterday using the color challenge from SplitcostStampers. j-5299xmas

I embossed the Medallion stamp (SU) on Cherry Cobbler card stock.  Stamped the sentiment by using markers on Very Vanilla, and stitched some Victoria lace on the edge.  The green embossing powder came from Michaels and everything else is Stampin’ Up!.  This makes Christmas card # 3 for July.
