My cute little surfing penguins come along today to wish you a merry Christmas in Hawaiian. They are cut from a piece of fabric recently purchased, sewn to a circle of cardstock and mounted over a Sizzix die cut. The card base is 4.25 inch square. The sentiment is hand written over a Stampin’ Up image and cut out. The turquoise grosgrain ribbon is also SU.
Here are the challenges for this card. ABC Christmas Challenge – L is for Lyrics = This is from a song, you can here it here on Youtube sung by Bing Crosby. Yes it goes way back before my time even, but so cute for my fabric. Always Playing with Paper Challenge #25 offered the perfect sketch for me to make this card this week. Also, going hand in hand with this sketch is the card I CASEd for Christmas Stamping All Year Long #16 which is to find an old holiday card from a blog for inspiration. Mine came from JennieBStamping blog. I hesitate to actually post her photo here, so please pop over to see her card. Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge is to use dies or punches, I used a Sizzix die cut. And take a look at Crimbo Crackers Challenge #18 for Anything Goes that is Christmas or Festive.
So, here’s wishing you all “Mele Kalikimaka” from Florida instead of Hawaii. Remember, surf’s up somewhere!
