Frankly, You’re Sew Cute

Don’t let Frankie scare you – he really is sew sweet!  This is a digi from Smeared Ink. I received for playing in a challenge at Smeared and smudged site. (See :Let your smile be your umbrella below.)

This week’s challenge at Smudgy Antics is to use paint.  So I took a sheet of bright lemony yellow cardstock and painted some pale lavender and green then dry brushed black – acrylic paints.  I brushed the black paint on the tree stamp before stamping.  More Stampin’ Up! stamping was done with the tape measure.  For added embellishment I used the safety pen brad and made faux stitches.  Frankie is done in water color pencils, with some Sakura gel pens for the eyes, nails, and shoe buckles.  Sentiment was computer generated.  Yes, this background is quite busy, but it sure was fun to paint!  Thanks for looking in on my card!
