I wanted to share these pages that I made for the challenges over at Christian Paper Crafts that are going on until October 14th. (New challenges will be posted on the 15th.)
This is for the challenge to make a heritage page and use a tag. I actually have two, the large one in the upper right and the small toward the bottom. There is a lot of stamping here, from mostly Stampin’ Up stamps. The repeated flowers are from an older set called Heartfelt Thanks that is a real classic set.
The challenge for “Serving up Love” was to use acrylic paint over a mask. I cut the letters, T E A, with Cricut and painted white over them. It is a page of older photos of DS and DGD sharing gentle moments. Her uncle is having a tea party with her. I tried to put a lot of distressing into this page and added some clipart from the Alice in Wonderland story for embellishment.
The butterfly photos are on a layout that was a sketch. The scrapbook life is so much easier when we have a sketch to follow. I lot like life I suppose – if we know exactly what the path of the steps we are to take it is a lot easier going. But, alas, like is full of surprises and occasional misdirection from which we need to find our way back.
And finally my last page to share is one made from an interesting and fun challenge. The hostess gave us specific dimensions of papers to cut and use. I had fun gathering the pieces and then moving them around to see what would form.
